The fundamental purpose of the Medical Device Code of Ethical Marketing and Business Practice is to promote and encourage ethical principles and practices in the business and marketing interactions between Medical Device Companies, their representatives and their Customers. In support of these values, the underpinning principle of the Code is that Medical Device Companies and/or their representatives will not offer any inappropriate inducement to any Healthcare Professional or other customer in order to sell, lease, recommend or arrange for the sale or lease of their products.
SAMED Members, Non SAMED Members who wish to be signatories to the Code, Medical Device Representatives and Healthcare Professionals
Participants will be assessed by means of a multiple-choice questionnaire.
Only accredited for Healthcare Professionals according to HCPSA's Medical and Dental Board Guidelines for Healthcare Professionals for 2 Ethical CEU's on Level 2.
To qualify for the certificate of completion for this short course, participants should successfully complete the assessment process
For SAMED members: Contact the South Africam Medical Technology Industry Association at info@samed.org.za or 011 704 2440 to get your SAMED member company voucher code. Note the same code can be used for all company personnel taking the test. The first three attempts are free of charge. Should you fail all three attempts you will be blocked from taking the test and you will need to send an email, indicating your name, company and voucher number to support@vertice.software and request an invoice to be sent to you so that payment can be made before you will be able to login and take the test on the fourth attempt. Once you have paid you can send your proof of payment to support@vertice.software whereafter they will open up one attempt.
You don't need to input your voucher code again as you are already enrolled for the course. You can access the course via your dashboard once logged into the VDS platform.
For Non-SAMED members: No voucher is required as non-members are required to pay to take the test as per the fee advertised on the VDS Platform.
